Ayoba African Candy has a spectacular burgundy-red colour throughout summer and autumn and produces fragrant cones. It adds a pop of colour to your garden for all seasons. Ideal for low maintenance, low water use gardens. Great cut flowers.
Can be used as a screening plant or for cut flowers.
Plant in sandy/rocky soil.
Plant in well drained acidic soil. Water well to establish 1-2 years. Use a natural mulch low in phosphorus. Do not fertilize. Pick all flowers or cut back after flowering to maintain shape. In pots, water daily. Moderate frost tolerance once established, coastal conditions, wind tolerant.
