Radishes are one of the easiest vegetables to grow in your garden. Sow the seeds about 2cm apart in loose, well-draining soil. Cover them with about 1cm of soil and water well. The plants will appear in 4-6 days and you’ll be able to pick your radishes as soon as three weeks after sowing.

Look out for the exciting new radish varieties available, like Easter Egg II, which produces radishes in three colours – white, red and purple.

Did you know?Planting your own vegetables is one of the most affordable ways to eat organically. Plus, you’ll know for sure that your vegetables are free of harmful pesticides and herbicides.

Bright Idea!Combine homegrown chervil and radish with avocado and a Dijon dressing for a salad with a difference
